My ex-husband submits an affidavit to the court claiming he is impoverished and unable to work.
I provide evidence from a lawyer confirming without doubt my (German) ex-husband’s employment abroad, with his position allowing clear conclusions about his income.
My divorce lawyer never forwards these documents to the court.
I receive no child support.
When I later attempt to sue my lawyer for damages, the court appoints a guardian ad litem, allegedly for the welfare of the minor children.
This second lawyer covers for her colleague and delays the proceedings until the deadline expires.
Isn’t submitting a demonstrably false affidavit a criminal offense?
Isn’t the behavior of these two lawyers aiding and abetting fraud?
Outcome:
Still no child support, and a hefty bill from the second lawyer for her ‘services’.
The district court does not allow a complaint about the bill.
Is this what justice looks like in Germany?”
