The Police: Your Friend and Helper

I received a confirmation from the Criminal Police (Family Crimes Division) that I was at risk of harm due to my ex-husband’s fraudulent activities.

My ex-husband filed a supervisory complaint against the detective, claiming that I had obtained this confirmation through “sexual services.”

The detective was transferred to another department. I no longer had a point of contact.

My ex-husband repeatedly informed the police that the children were in acute danger. He claimed that I had said I would take my own life and harm the children as well.

Numerous police operations took place, including one where the police arrived with a rescue trampoline because my ex-husband informed them that I was allegedly standing on the roof with a child.

After this last false alarm, I was informed that no further police operations would be conducted at our address. They hoped we wouldn’t have a “real” emergency because our address was now “on the red list.”

I was told that the police had better things to do than to deal with constant false alarms.

There were no consequences for my ex-husband.
